A Taste of Home, Over Two Decades Strong
In 1998, Queen House 元寶 opened its doors on Castro Street with a simple mission: bring the honest, homestyle flavors of Taiwan and China to the heart of Silicon Valley. What started as a small neighborhood eatery has grown into a beloved institution — a place where regulars return week after week for the warmth of the food and the people who make it.
Our kitchen follows time-honored recipes passed through generations. Every dumpling is hand-pleated, every broth slow-simmered for hours, and every stir-fry fired in a blazing wok. On weekends, we offer our beloved Taiwanese dim sum — delicate bites that draw lines down the block. And while you wait, our baristas prepare fresh bubble tea with hand-cooked tapioca pearls made throughout the day.
Queen House is more than a restaurant.
